About the Game

Breakout is a modern take on the arcade classic. A wall of colored bricks, seven rows of ten, hangs at the top of the screen. Use your paddle to bounce the ball into the bricks and clear every one. Clear the wall and you advance to the next level, where the ball moves faster and the pressure rises.

Rules

• You start with 3 lives. Lose the ball off the bottom of the screen and you lose a life.
• Every brick you break scores points.
• Ball speed increases every level, up to a maximum, so later levels reward quick reactions.
• Your top ten scores are stored on your device and shown on the game-over screen.

Tips

• Where the ball meets the paddle controls where it goes. Hit it with the edge to send it off at a sharp angle.
• Tunnel up one side of the wall: once the ball is above the bricks it clears rows on its own.
• Keep your eyes on the ball, not on the paddle.
